Thank
you for inquiring about Young People’s Day Camp
For
30 years we have provided safe, fun filled summers for
thousands of Nassau's youngsters. (As well as peace-of-mind
for their parents).
Over the years our camping philosophy has remained the
same: to ensure a safe and memorable camp experience
by combining a diversified program of physical activity
(swimming, sports, arts and crafts, nature and science,
etc.), with the excitement of trips, shows, and special
events. We are proud of what we have accomplished.
Young People's Day Camp of Nassau is accredited by the
American Camping Association and is supervised by licensed
teachers and administrators. The ratio of campers to
counselors is less than 8-1 (lower with younger campers).
Door-to-door transportation is always included in our
tuition. We use only state certified drivers and Board
of Education Yellow School Buses or Vans.
Young People's Day Camp of Nassau believes in value
and convenience. We offer 2-8 week programs. There are
no hidden costs. Enrollment begins with a small deposit
(no registration fee), with the balance being paid off
in monthly installments.
Young People's Day Camp of Nassau is required to be
permitted to operate by the Nassau County Board of Health.
The Camp is also required to be inspected twice each
summer. The inspection records are on file at the Board
of Health office located at 240 Old Country Road in
Mineola.
