Who
are the people in charge, and what are their qualifications?
Our Director and all Head Counselors are certified teachers in
New Jersey. The rest of our counselors are college students and
all over the age of eighteen. Is
the camp insured?
Absolutely - each camper is covered through our medical and
liability insurance.
Is
the camp licensed?
Yes- we are licensed and inspected randomly by the State of
New Jersey Health Department, which visits us several times
during the summer to ensure that we are in compliance with the
rules and regulation of this organization.
Are
medical personnel available?
Young People's of Ocean County always has EMT, lifeguards, and
CPR certified personnel on the premises. A registered nurse
and/or a doctor are always on call.
Who
are the counselors?
Our counselors are mostly college students and teachers. All
of our counselors are people who are either known to us as former
campers, or individuals who have been recommended and have impeccable
credentials.
How do the children get to camp?
The campers are transported to and from their home by buses,
which are driven by professional, certified Brick Township Board
of Education bus drivers. While many camps lease buses and have
the counselors drive them, Young People's of Ocean County believes
that it is much safer to leave the driving to the professionals.
How
do I pay for camp?
Upon registration, a deposit is required. The balance is broken
up into a series of payments, to make payment as comfortable
as possible. There are no registration fees, interest fees,
or service charges. (credit card, money orders, and checks are
accepted)
What
happens if I have to get in touch with you or my child during
the camp day?
No problem – in case of an emergency,
Call 1-732-604-9736 (this is Vinnie’s cell phone).
